AVID Tutoring at Sterling Middle

Master’s students in the Secondary Science Teacher Education Program at GMU are volunteering to work with middle school students in the AVID Program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) at Sterling Middle School.

AVID is a college readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college. The program places special emphasis on growing writing, critical thinking, teamwork, organization and reading skills.
